From Humble Beginnings

Like many companies, MDL Manufacturing Industries, Inc.—once known as MDL Fabricating—had a modest beginning in 1988 in a small 1,350 SF warehouse condominium in Waldorf, Maryland. This part-time one-man business offered welding services and limited machining services.

Slow and steady growth allowed the company to relocate into a larger production facility and in 1991 the company became incorporated. The company consistently retained its customer base and added new customers as its capabilities grew. MDL added hi-speed CNC milling machines in 1995 and a state-of-the-art CNC laser cutter in 1998. The investment in state-of-the-art machinery continues to this day as it allows us to accommodate our customers’ needs and allows the company to operate effectively and efficiently. Those efforts are recognized by the awards and recognitions received since 2003.

Since its humble beginnings, MDL has steadily increased its customer base, employees and equipment. Our greatest strength today is our hundreds of customers and dedicated employees.
